Knife Block Hospitality is a Wellington-based hospitality group built on craft, care, and a deep respect for food, people, and place. Founded by operators with decades of hands-on experience, the group exists to create hospitality businesses that are thoughtful, resilient, and built for the long term.

Our story began in the kitchen and on the floor — not in a boardroom. Two of Wellington’s most respected dining institutions, The White House and Whitebait, formed the foundations of our business. While both venues have now closed, their influence remains central to who we are today. They shaped our standards for quality, service, and hospitality, and laid the groundwork for the systems, teams, and values that continue to guide Knife Block Hospitality.
